Two Reviews and Twice the "Top Pick" EFB system.

The Aviation Consumer® reviewed FlightPrep ChartCase™ along with two other EFB software providers in their April 2010 review. They selected FlightPrep's ChartCase™ as their top pick EFB. It is the easiest to use EFB partially due to our in-flight interface. They praised it as "intuitive" and said they found our system offers "well integrated charts and approach plates." All these factors matter when operating single pilot.

FlightPrep ChartCase™, in addition to providing all Instrument procedures, Sectional, TAC, and Low Enroute Charts, also provides detailed LandSat maps for the entire U.S. comprising several gigabytes, so draw your own conclusion. But don't take our word for it, read the entire review yourself.

Honest and truthful advertising benefits all concerned. Most competitors advertise their products truthfully and factually, and we applaud them. Aviation Consumer publishes independent reviews of products for pilots. Many in aviation regard their opinions as forthright and trustworthy articles.

For your convenience, we provide links to their EFB hardware and software articles here.

The first Aviation Consumer® EFB review also selected FlightPrep ChartCase™ among other EFB software providers in their January 2006 issue. They selected FlightPrep's ChartCase™ as their top pick EFB, with the easiest to use interface as their top choice interface.

Note: we recommend you read both hardware reviews.
Please notice the major outstanding issue that lead the reviewer to select the Samsung Q1 in the 2007 review was the lack of a SSD option for the LS800. (Since the time of that review, Motion Computing discontinued production of the LS800 model tablet computer.)

  • The Fujitsu P1630 (our second most popular tablet behind ChartBook) offers an SSD option. We offer and recommend non-glare screen filters too. The 1630 is an upgrade of the 1620 tablet reviewed in the article.
  • Motion Computing offers the J3400 large-format tablet computer now with the SSD option.
